Over the past week, we have learned about Intuit’s “test” of pairing QBO with live bookkeepers that I wrote about in my last issue
, officially setting the internet on fire. Some see the move as trying to replace their loyal partners over the years.
Me? I see it simply as a good business move.
It reminds we of something from a few years back.
I had attended the very first QB Connect, back when Quickbooks was more of a desktop product. The VP of Intuit at the time, Jim McGinnis, made the announcement of their push to QBO and what resulted was an angry mob of bookkeepers in the crowd.
Change is not easy.
I would expect the exact same should this new model pan out as well.
But you need to roll with the times. And on-demand, marketplace based services looks to be the future at the moment.
